A brand-new season of films comes to Corn Exchange Newbury Cinema this September

New cinematic adventures are hitting our screen in September.

We've got blockbuster historical hits and award-winning indie and foreign-language picks, take a look below at some of the films coming up this month.

Hanging by a Wire (15)

This nail-biting true story follows a school commute that took a terrifying turn when a cable car's wires snapped leaving its passengers stranded in midair. An emergency response is kick-started, but they are working against the clock before the cable car falls onto the hills below.

Bitter Christmas (15)

A struggling filmmaker imagines a character whose life mirrors his own to inspire his latest script. But as his friends and family begin to recognise themselves in the tale, can he continue to tell the story?

De Gaulle: Résistance (15)

Inspired by real events during WWII, this film tracks the defiant stand of Charles de Gaulle to rally his nation after its 1940 collapse. With France on the brink of defeat, can one man bring people together to push back against the Nazi regime?

The Incomer (12A)

Two eccentric siblings live isolated on a remote Scottish Island until the arrival of an awkward council official, played by Domhnall Gleeson. Whilst he was sent to remove them from the island, he soon becomes fascinated by their way of life.

The Death of Robin Hood (15)

An aged Robin Hood (Hugh Jackman), haunted by his past, is offered a final chance at redemption when he is taken in by a mysterious woman (Jodie Comer). While he is healing, he is plagued by the memories of his lifelong violence.
