Panto Cast in the spotlight: Jade Johnson

Q&A with Jade Johnson.

Our next panto cast member in the spotlight is Jade Johnson who plays Fairy Common. Jade tells us all about her inner fairy and how she's looking forward to returning to our stage this festive season.

Have you been in a pantomime before? If so, which one(s) and what is your favourite thing about performing in one?
I have been lucky enough to be in the Newbury Panto once before in 2021 and in Salisbury panto last year. There’s nothing like feeling the excitement for Christmas bubbling up throughout the run!

Is there a specific performance night that you are looking forward to the most?
Adult night is always a highlight for me!

Do you have any pre-show rituals to help you get into character?
I find that once I’ve dosed myself in glitter, the inner fairy comes out to play!

Do you have any Christmas traditions?
I always always order a Chinese takeaway and watch The Holiday on Christmas eve!

What is your favourite Christmas song?
It’s got to be Santa Can’t You Hear Me by Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson!

What’s your favourite Christmas film?
The Holiday!
