Q&A with Scott Hayward
Our final panto cast member in the spotlight is Scott Hayward who is part of our Beauty and the Beast Ensemble. Scott tells us how panto is his Christmas tradition and how he's looking forward to Christmas in Newbury with the rest of the cast.
Have you been in a pantomime before? If so, which one(s) and what is your favourite thing about performing in one?
Yes! This will be my 6th panto but first time doing Beauty and the Beast! My favourite thing about panto is always the songsheet at the end of the show! Getting everyone involved!
Is there a specific performance night that you are looking forward to the most?
Christmas Eve because everyone will be so excited for Christmas!
Do you have any pre-show rituals to help you get into character?
Not really. It really varies from show to show as there are different things required for each part!
Do you have any Christmas traditions?
It seems that panto is my Christmas tradition!

Are you looking forward to spending the festive season in Newbury?
I am! We have an amazing cast and company! We’re gonna have a blast!
