We're now on Too Good To Go!

Help us rescue good food from going to waste!

Did you know that according to WWF (2021), 40% of the food that we produce globally goes to waste? Because of this, 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions worldwide are caused by food waste (WWF, 2025). That is why we have joined Too Good To Go, to do our bit to help reduce these statistics and reduce our own contribution to food waste.

As an organisation, the Corn Exchange Newbury work hard to make sure we're constantly looking at how we can be more environmentally friendly. Our Green Team meet monthly and discuss ways in which we can improve. We've already shared our work to remove single-use plastic from our Café Bar and this work resulted in us being awarded the Bronze Plastic Free Newbury Award by Plastic Free Communities, whose mission is to tackle the usage surrounding single-use plastics. 

Continuing on our work to make our Café Bar more environmentally friendly, we're now looking to tackle food waste - this is where Too Good To Go and you can help!

As of Friday 28 February we will be live on the Too Good To Go app and you will be able to purchase Surprise Bags from us, for just £3.99, which will contain a selection of baked goods (and possibly some savoury options, subject to availability) from our Café Bar worth up to £12! 

Simply download the app and set up an account, then you can reserve your Surprise Bag from us and pay through the app. Stop by our Café Bar at the specified pickup time, collect your bag and enjoy! You just rescued good food from going to waste and did something good for the planet.
