Old Library Campaign

The Old Library transformation into a vibrant and flexible arts hub has now officially been completed!

We want to thank all our amazing donors and funders who have helped us raise over £1.2m to refurbish this town centre heritage building into a permanent home for creative activity. We could not have done it without your support - thank you.

We are excited to announce that the Old Library’s Café Bar is now open, and courses and classes in the Upstairs and Downstairs spaces will begin from Monday 20 April with performances in the studio theatre starting in the autumn season.

It has taken nearly ten years to realise this vision, and nearly four years to complete the build project and we are so excited to open this creative space; a place for creativity, community, connection, conversation, collaboration, coming together. We look forward to working collaboratively with others to continue to provide more meaningful and brilliant arts opportunities for the people of West Berkshire.

You can continue to support our work at the Old Library by Naming a Seat in the new studio theatre, or donating to our Future Fund to help support all the work the Corn Exchange Newbury delivers. As a charity we need to fundraise to ensure we can continue doing all of this work.
