Booking Information: Outdoor Workshops for young people and families

We're excited to welcome young people and families to Victoria Park this summer for a class, course or workshop, as part of the Out of Doors Festival. You can find some important information below about what to expect from your visit.

Arrival
When you arrive at the park for your class, please look out for the Corn Exchange trike and banner. An area for the class will be designated with bunting. We ask that during the class, participants remain within this designated area. We cannot be held responsible for anything that happens outside of our designated class area.

You do not need to show a physical ticket when you arrive at your class but the practitioner leading the class will be doing a register so you will need to know the surname you booked under.

Weather

Since these are outdoor classes we ask that you dress for all weathers and provide your own sun-hats, sun cream, coats, jackets, scarves and umbrellas (it is an English summer after all!).

If it is raining heavily on the day of your class, we will follow our Wet Weather plan. We may cancel class and will contact you to let you know either the evening before for a morning class, or during that morning if you have an afternoon class. Please make sure your contact details are up to date when you book. In the event that we have to cancel your class due to adverse weather, we will offer you a full refund.

Toilets

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide toilets for this event.

There are public toilets in Parkway shopping centre that you can use before your event starts, but please be aware that we are unable to let children and young people leave our sessions unattended.

If you are bringing your child to a drop-off class and you think your child may need the bathroom during their class, please stay close by so you can take them yourself.

First Aid

Should you or your child require first aid during your class, please visit the Corn Exchange trike or speak to your practitioner. A Corn Exchange First Aider will be on hand either in the park or on call in the main Corn Exchange building.

Other things to bring:

Please bring a water bottle.

Our classes will be taking place on grass so please bring a picnic blanket/something waterproof to sit on.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide chairs. If you or a member of your household attending the class has mobility issues, we suggest you bring your own camping chair to sit on.

We hope you enjoy our Out of Doors Festival!
