Indoor Shows: Booking and visitor information

This information will be updated as government and industry guidance changes.

Book with confidence:
We want you to feel confident about booking in advance for the events at the Corn Exchange. It is very important that people displaying symptoms of COVID-19 do not come to the theatre so, if you are unwell with coronavirus symptoms or having to self-isolate, please phone the Box Office and we will arrange for the value of your tickets to be credited to your account or refunded, as long as you tell us in advance of the performance time.

Booking tickets:

Tickets must be booked in advance
and we are asking customers to select an e-ticket if possible. This means that your ticket can be scanned on arrival, reducing the need for contact with our staff when they check tickets. If you are unable to book an e-ticket, please speak to our Box Office team.

Bookings must be for no more than 6 individuals (or two households). Online bookings are limited to a maximum of 6 tickets. If you are making a booking for two households and require more than 6 tickets please contact the Box Office and they will assist with your booking.

In accordance with Government regulations, sectors including leisure, entertainment and hospitality are legally obliged to have a system in place to request and record contact details of their customers, visitors and staff. Anyone in your party aged 16 or over will be asked to scan the Test and Trace QR code or to record their contact details with us.

Social distancing:
We have limited the number of people admitted to each event. Last autumn we rebuilt our auditorium seating in order to maximise capacity whilst adhering to social distancing measures. This seating layout has more space between rows, the seats have individual arm rests, and each booking is separated using dividing Perspex screens. We have put our summer season on sale using this layout in order to ensure the events can take place under all circumstances. Should the government regulations change and social distancing is no longer a requirement we will contact all customers to discuss their booking with them and to inform them of any updated procedures.

Your visit:

Before your visit, please make sure you are feeling well and not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.

Having booked in advance and chosen an e-ticket, please either print this out or have it ready on a smartphone or tablet when you arrive at the Corn Exchange to present to our contactless scanner. Your temperature will also be taken using a contactless thermometer.

Please remember to bring your face covering with you as visitors over the age of 11 are required to wear them in the building, unless you are exempt from wearing one, or if you are eating or drinking. If you remove your mask to eat or drink you must put it back on straight after. Drinks and snacks are available from both the upstairs and downstairs bars.

We have increased and enhanced cleaning regimes including regular fogging of our auditorium and common touch points will be cleaned frequently throughout the day.

Visitors will need to adhere to social distancing rules so please keep a suitable space between yourself and other visitors, staff members and volunteers at all times, and do not gather in groups of more than 6 people (or two households).

What happens if I am unwell or self-isolating?

If you are unwell with COVID-19 symptoms or have been told that you need to self-isolate so are no longer able to attend an event you have booked for, please contact the Box Office and a transfer, credit or refund for the full value of the tickets (plus the booking fee if applicable) will be offered, as long as you inform us in advance of the performance time.

If you have any questions about your booking or visit, please contact our Front of House Team, either by e-mailing [email protected] or call 0845 5218 218. Calls cost 2p per minute plus your telephone company’s access charge.
