Get involved in our Online Fundraising Auction

We have launched our first online fundraising auction featuring 42 fantastic lots to raise funds for the Old Library Campaign

The prizes range from experiences to top-end theatre tickets, delicious meals for two, signed sports memorabilia and much more. 

Many businesses from Newbury and the surrounding areas have kindly donated prizes to the auction to help raise funds for the Old Library Campaign to create a new arts hub for Newbury. Prizes include a two-course meal for two at Ye Olde Lion in Chieveley, a 100-shot clay shooting experience for two at Barbury Shooting School, a paintballing package from Red Alert Paintball, four ball golf for 9 Holes at Deanwood Park Golf Course, a 30-minute full-motion simulator racing experience at Podium Place, a Bombay Sapphire gin experience for two, two vouchers for Newbury Racecourse, a midweek four ball golf at Donnington Valley Hotel, a 14-day pass for access to Our Fit Hub and a 60-minute photoshoot and image from Imagine Photography. 

For the theatre and arts lovers there are some brilliant opportunities to bid on top price West End show tickets, including Les Misérables, Mamma Mia and The Book of Mormon. There is also the chance to grab a family ticket to this year's Corn Exchange Newbury panto, Dick Whittington, with a fabulous photo opportunity and other goodies. The Corn Exchange Newbury have two lovely dance lots on offer, with one lucky bidder on their way to the Royal Albert Hall with two tickets to The Nutcracker performed by Birmingham Royal Ballet and another will be able to snap up a signed copy of Anton Du Beke’s book The Paris Affair. Comedy fans will be able to bid on some brilliant lots, including a pair of tickets to see the sold-out Jack Dee: Work in progress at the Corn Exchange Newbury, a signed mug from comedian Miles Jupp, a signed book from Mark Watson, a bundle of Bridget Christie goodies and a signed tote bag from The Importance of Being... Earnest? cast who visited the Corn Exchange earlier this year. 

Sports fans will also have two unique lots to bid on with a signed ultimate card and photo from Newbury dart player Luke Humphries and a signed football shirt from 1966 England World Cup hero Sir Geoff Hurst. 

Other prizes on offer include a bundle of goodies from the star of CBeebies Popcast, Nick Cope, an art print of David Bowie ‘Starman’ by Sarah Taylor, an incredible Jo Malone experience including a three-course meal for two and £100 voucher, a two-bottle gift set of DOC 2020 Malbec Mendel, a stay in London’s Mayfair with afternoon tea for two at The Ritz and last but certainly not least an overnight stay with dinner for two people at Tom Kerridge’s Hand and Flowers pub in Marlow.
