Newbury Sounds - Meet the Bands: Revenant

Get to know the bands who will be performing at our next fundraising event, Newbury Sounds!

With our next fundraising event for the Old Library Campaign coming up on Friday 14 March, we have spoken to each of the bands performing on the night to learn more about them and what to expect from their performance at Newbury Sounds. 

Next up we have Revenant, who will be headlining the event alongside the band A Dirty Soul. Here's what they had to say:

What genre of music do you play?

We play a bit of everything really. Mostly rock but we do have a bit of a country influence too and sometimes heavy metal. We don't really like to pin it down to one genre but its just straightforward good guitar-based music.

Who is your band’s biggest musical inspiration?

We can't put our finger on one person or band. We would say that we sound like a party between Chris Stapleton, Slash and Blackstone Cherry.

What’s the song you’re most excited to play at Newbury Sounds?

We're very excited for It's the least I can do as we have a special guest joining us for it. After that it's Best Medicine which was only released on 18 February, it always goes down really well.

Do you have any memories connected to the Corn Exchange?

Battle of the Bands back in the day, they were always great fun. It's an iconic venue for Newbury so we had to take up the opportunity to play there.
