Newbury Sounds - Meet the Bands: Infinite Horse

Get to know the bands who will be performing at our next fundraising event, Newbury Sounds!
With our next fundraising event for the Old Library Campaign coming up on Friday 14 March, we have spoken to each of the bands performing on the night to learn more about them and what to expect from their performance at Newbury Sounds.
Next up we have Infinite Horse, a three-piece alt-rock act originating in Newbury and now based in Bristol. Making up the band is Greg Sharrett on guitar and vocals, Adam King on drums and Pete Edward on bass and vocals. Here's what they had to say:
What genre of music do you play?
We lean towards the heavier side of riff rock and alt-rock, with a large focus on the rhythm of our music. We dabble in an odd time signature or two, but are focused on being able to provide something to nod and move to.
Who is your band’s biggest musical inspiration?
Between the three of us our tastes are eclectic. Whilst there are easy direct influences to our music like Reuben, Viagra Boys, Refused and Every Time I Die. You’ll find any of us listening from classical to jazz to death metal to blues and we do our best to use these influences and make our music a little different.
What’s the song you’re most excited to play at Newbury Sounds?
We are most looking forward to playing Stokes as we’ve never played it live and Little Man is always a good crowd favourite!
Do you have any memories connected to the Corn Exchange?
From a very early age I remember all the great pantomimes and plays my mother encouraged me to enjoy, which probably was my first taste of what a performance was. Also, seeing Freefall Felix and Junglists in 2005/06!
