See our auditorium transformed into the wondrous world of Wonderland as our Infant and Junior Youth Theatre present Alice in Wonderland

A gold title that says 'Alice in Wonderland' over a purple backdrop

Our Infant and Junior Youth Theatre take to the stage from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 August to present Alice in Wonderland, the story of a girl and her curious friends!

Over 80 young people aged 4 to 14 will be taking part in the production and the two groups of cast members have been rehearsing since May, working weekly with their Youth Theatre Leader alongside rehearsals with Director, Jo Newman.

Alice in Wonderland is a cherished tale of twists and turns, fantasy and adventure that delights both children and adults, based on the novel by Lewis Carroll, adapted by Kathryn Schultz Miller. Supporting the show is a professional team of creatives, working alongside the Corn Exchange technical team, with set and costume design by Carl Davies and musical direction from Ben Barrow.

It’s a total joy to be working with the cast members of the Infant and Junior Youth Theatre at the Corn Exchange Newbury. They have been working so hard to bring all of Wonderland’s eccentric playful characters to life and I’ve been bowled over by their ideas and creativity as we use playful theatricality to convey the shifting magical moments of the story. It’s going to be a really fun show
