Welcome to our Learning and Participation programme! Here you’ll find information about a variety of courses and classes that take place at our Old Library and beyond. There is activity for everyone, whether you are a toddler exploring your senses, a young person developing creative skills, or an adult looking to pursue a passion or find connection. We also have a growing schools engagement programme, as well as a programme of work specifically for those aged 55+ - Ageing Creatively.
We are very proud that our work also takes place outside of the walls of the main buildings, with projects happening across West Berkshire, in schools, care settings, family hubs, community centres and libraries, to name a few. We are also committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of our local community through the arts, collaborating with local partners, social prescribers and family support workers.

Ballroom and Latin Beginners - Summer 2026
Work with Emma Mayo to learn the basics in Waltz, Cha-Cha-Cha, Slow Rhythm, Rumba, and Quickstep.

Guided by Laura Penneycard and Maura Barber-Oosterhuis, this session will involve gentle Somatic movements, Restorative Yoga and a beautiful Sound Bath using Tibetan singing bowls, wind gongs and percussive instruments.
Immersive Sound Bath - Summer 2026
Lay down and relax to the soothing tones of quartz crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, Wind Chimes, Native American Flute, Guitar, Percussion instruments blended together with digital effects to create a truly unique and immersive experience.
